Abstract Long-term storage of apples ( Malus x domestica , Borkh.) is increasingly taking place under Dynamic Controlled Atmosphere (DCA). The oxygen level lowered to ≤ 1 kPa O 2 and the are stored just above Lower Oxygen Limit (LOL). Low stress during controlled atmosphere can lead fermentation in if levels too low. Chlorophyll fluorescence be used detect low-oxygen at an early stage storage. currently available non-imaging systems often use minimal Fo ) parameter.
